Overview
The Community Development Block Grant Program (CDBG) is a federal block grant program created by Congress in 1974. CDBG-funded projects must satisfy 1 of 3 national program objectives:
- Provide a benefit to low- and moderate-income persons
- Prevent or eliminate slums and blight
- Meet needs having a particular urgency
City activities include:
- Public facilities and improvements
- Fair Housing
- Housing rehabilitation
- Public Services
CDBG Subrecipients / Public Services
The City has awarded FY 2023-2024 CDBG Public Services funds to the following organizations:
- Domestic Violence Advocate Program
- East San Gabriel Valley Coalition for the Homeless
- Family Service Center
- Graffiti Removal Program
- Pride Program
- Redeemer Food Bank
- Youth Employment Program
