Mission

The Finance Department maintains the financial records of the City, Redevelopment Agency, Housing Authority, and Financing Authority through the maintenance of a financial system providing payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, purchasing, cashiering services, business licenses, coordination of audits, and preparation of the annual budget and financial reports required by management and governmental agencies.

Programs & Functions of the Department

  • Accounts payable and accounts receivable services
  • Payroll services
  • Process purchase requisitions and prepare purchase orders
  • Cash management and cashiering services
  • Provide management reports to other departments
  • Submit financial reports to other government agencies (i.e., State Controller, Housing and Urban Development (HUD), and Department of Justice)
  • Preparation of the City's budget
  • Update and monitor finance policies and procedures manual
