Current Waiting List Applicants
BPHA opened its waiting list in 2016. At that time, over 8000 households submitted their names to the interest list. From that interest list, 2000 applicants were randomly selected and placed on the waiting list. (See Tribune article).
Waiting list application status will only be provided online at www.waitlistcheck.com. Using the username and password provided in the pre-application. Position numbers or placements on the waiting list are not assigned. If your legal or mailing address changes, you must submit written notification of the address change to BPHA.
Beginning on April 10, 2020, the Baldwin Park Housing Authority (BPHA) adopted and implemented a series of statutory and regulatory waivers permitted by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). These HUD waivers allow the BPHA to enact temporary changes to its Housing Choice Voucher (HCV) Program in order to reduce the impact of the COVID-19 crisis.
Effective June 1, 2020, the BPHA has implemented a New Interim Reexamination Policy and Procedure. Please click here to see how this affects your rental assistance reporting requirements. Please note: To complete the signature portion of the Interim Rent Adjustment Form, you will need to download Adobe Acrobat Reader.

Please be aware of potential fraud/scams from other websites/agencies claiming that the Section 8 waitlist is open and you can register through them. These companies are requesting you to sign up through their company and pay a fee in order to be put on the waitlist or even receive a Section 8 Housing voucher. At no time will any Federal Housing Authority ever ask for money to add a name to its waitlist or to issue a Section 8 voucher. The only way to be put on the Section 8 waitlist is to register online through the Housing Authority’s website if opened. You may not otherwise sign up through any other website. Please be aware of these types of companies and never give out your credit card information to anyone claiming that that they can put you on our waitlist or give you a Section 8 voucher.
