The Housing Division provides a range of services to improve the quality of life of low- to moderate-income residents and neighborhoods. The mission of the Division is to ensure that all eligible residents have access to all available services and programs to enhance the enjoyment of life in a rich and diverse living environment and a stable community.

Programs and Functions

The Housing Choice Voucher Program is a federally funded rental program that assists very low-income families, elderly, and disable households.

The Baldwin Park Housing Authority administers MC Neil Manor, a 12-unit low-income senior housing development.

The Home Improvement Loan and Grant Program provides immediate monetary resources to assist very low, low and moderate income owner-occupants to make necessary repairs to their homes.

The City of Baldwin Park offers a loan program to fund the difference between the purchase price of a home and the first mortgage through the HOME Investment Partnership Program.

The CDBG Program is funded through the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) to develop viable urban communities by providing decent housing, a suitable living environment and expand economic opportunities, primarily for person of low to moderate income.
