Skate Park




The Teen Center is just the place to come and hangout during the school breaks or after school! The Teen Center houses all the comforts of home and much more. Features include a 20 foot rock climbing wall, 8 station Computer Lab, 65” Mitsubishi TV with BOSE surround sound system, Wii gaming console with a 36” flat screen TV, XBOX Kinect, kitchen and snack bar, indoor and outdoor fireplaces, outdoor barbeque, amphitheater seating for outside performances. The Vargas Family Game Room, which includes two pool tables, a foosball table, air hockey table, and ping-pong table, provides plenty of action. The Teen Center also offers a variety of classes, programs monthly events, outings as well as daily activities. Stop by the Teen Center to come and experience the fun & to pick up a monthly calendar!

Stop by the Skate Park and show off your skills on our state of the art fun boxes and the Hubba Ledge. Or grind on our curved bench and flat rail. Join in our skate tournaments to claim some bragging rights. Skate away at one of our upcoming night skating with a live D.J. spinning today's hottest music. Just be aware that full skate gear is required to be in our skate park. Don't get caught without it.


This 100% youth ran group over seen by Hillsides and the Teen Center will offer weekly discussion groups, a peer-led mental health group, social events, and volunteer services, Geared for LGBTQ students, Family, and Friends. 

Educational workshops along with vocational workshops will be offered. 

Meets every Monday at 4:00pm. 


This program will teach young men about goal setting, decision-making and responsibility. 

The WolfPack group is designed for 13-18 year olds who are in the prime male stages of their young development transitioning into adulthood. 

The program will be held every Monday from 4:00PM-5:00PM. 


Starting March 24, we will meet every Monday from 5:00pm-5:30pm.

Gremlins are designed for boys who are in 3rd-7th grade. 

This program will get the participants to interact with each other and gain confidence to find out who they are. Don’t miss out on this new and exciting experience and sign up today!

Student Elite

Student Elite is an organization where teens organize events, activities, and assist the community. 

Student Elite tries to identify youth-related issues and serve in an advisory capacity to the Community Services Commission by recommending solutions as related to programs or projects in the City. 

Meets every other Tuesday from 3:15pm-3:45pm.


VENUS is a year-round program designed for young ladies to spend time together as they learn, make friends, and create memories! This program is intended to encourage adolescents to be more creative, boost their self-esteem and stay healthy! Participants will also partake in numerous activities and trips such as Girls Night Out!

Meetings are held each Tuesday from 4:00pm-5:00pm.

Teen Center Mobile

The Baldwin Park Teen Center will be transporting students from both Sierra Vista High and Jr. High to the Teen Center on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. 

Pick up is at 3:15pm and return to Sierra Vista at 6:00pm. 

The van will be located next to the library on Frazier St. A liability waiver will be needed for transportation.


Baby Think It Over is a teen pregnancy prevention program designed to educate teens about the realities of having a baby. 

Baby Think It Over Takes place Wednesdays from 4:00pm-5:30pm, stop by the Teen Center to sign up or for more information please call (626) 960-7171 Ext. 363.

Language Arts- Thursday 3:30pm-4:30pm

Join us as we learn the steps of how to become a successful candidate that colleges are looking for.

 In this program participants will learn the basics of the college process, how to fill out an application, financial aid forms, personal statements, résumé and much more. You will also be the chance to take campus tours to some of our favorite colleges. 

College Now meets every other Thursday from 4:00pm-5:00pm.

The Studio

Come learn how to read, write, and understand music. 

All artists/musicians ages between 13-18 years old can collaborate with other musicians and build up confidence to perform in front of a crowd!

 The Studio meets every Thursday from 5:00pm-6:00pm. 


Learn quick, easy, and fun strategies to eat healthy and prepare nutritious snacks, like fruit and yogurt parfaits, trail mix, smoothies & quick meals. 

Meets every other Thursday at 3:30pm during the school year and 2:00PM during the summer in the Teen Center kitchen. 

Express Yourself

Come every Friday from 3:30pm-5:00pm to gain drawing skills and become more creative!

 Here’s your chance to come and learn the basic fundamentals of art and develop your own artistic style!

Do Something

Join Do Something as they hike, run, and have fun! 

Do Something meets every other Friday from 4:00pm-5:00pm to get exercise and soak in some Vitamin D! Stay healthy, stay happy!


The Teen Center is proud to offer Family Fun Day Fridays for children and parents to interact and bond with each other. 

Every Friday from 5:00pm-7:00pm 


The Computer Lab houses 8 Pentium 4 computers with DSL Internet access and full Microsoft Office Pro software. 

The technology center is free and available to all students with a current school ID.


Strengthen your family’s relationship by taking advantage of our on site counselors. The Teen Center is proud to extend family counseling through Hillsides Counseling Services. Hillsides have been providing mental health services to children and families in the Los Angeles County for more than 30 years. Hillsides can help you and your family address areas such as, depression, oppositional defiance, anxiety, communication problems, sexual abuse, and familial issues. Counseling services are extended through Hillsides located inside the Teen Center. If you are interested in Hillsides services or have any questions, please contact (626) 960-7171, Ext. 367. Medi-Cal accepted. Non Medi-Cal clients will be seen on a short-term basis and then offered referral assistance.


Youth ages 13-18 are encouraged to show community pride and get involved in programs and events, through volunteer work with the Teen Center .

Volunteers reap benefits such as acquiring new skills, meeting new people, gaining valuable work experience, making professional contacts, building self-confidence and improving the quality of life in the community.

Teen of the Month

The Teen Center keeps a monthly attendance of the teens who visit us regularly. 

To become teen of the month one must be in attendance most of the month and also participate in the centers programs and show good behavior all around. 

Summer Excursions


Skate Park Rules:

  • Skate At Your Own Risk
  • Helmets, Knee Pads and Elbow Pads required at all times (failure to comply will result in a citation BPMC 96.25)
  • Children under the age of 14 must be accompanied by an adult
  • No unauthorized pieces of equipment or obstacles allowed in the Skate Park
  • No smoking, alcohol or drug use allowed
  • No glass containers of any kind allowed
  • No spectators permitted in the Skate Park
  • Skating on park curbs and park sidewalks is prohibited
  • Profanity, loud music and reckless behavior are not permitted
