| In 1974, the Baldwin Park Redevelopment Agency was established to pursue the elimination of physical and economic blight in designated Redevelopment Project Areas and for the preservation construction and rehabilitation of affordable housing. The Agency adopted the San Gabriel River Redevelopment Project Area, Puente/Merced Redevelopment Project Area, West Ramona Redevelopment Project Area, Central Business District Redevelopment Project Area, Delta Redevelopment Project Area, and Sierra Vista Redevelopment Project Area. On July 21, 2004, the Community Development Commission was established and named the City Council as the Community Development Commissioners. |
